SPONSORSHIPS > Children's Cancer Association

The Portland Pirate Festival is proud to be partnered with Children's Cancer Association, a local Portland non-profit that brings the joy of music, the magic of wishes, the power of information and compassion to seriously ill children and their families.

We are committed to supporting their vital programs by directing half of all Portland Pirate Festival sponsorship income to CCA. As a Sponsor, you will enjoy 100% tax deductibility on 50% of your investment as well as recognition as a generous donor to CCA. Together, we can be there for local families when they need our help the most.

Founded more than a decade ago by a family who has been there, the Children’s Cancer Association is committed to bringing the healing power of compassion, music and friendship to families when they need it most. From cystic fibrosis to pediatric cancer, premature birth to cerebral palsy, thousands of families in our communities face fear, isolation and hopelessness when their child becomes seriously ill.

CCA is the voice of experience, compassion and hope for families whose needs extend beyond medical treatment. Fueled by thousands of supporters and volunteers and available at no cost to families, CCA’s innovative programs have garnered awards by reaching out across Portland and our national community, in children’s hospitals and at home, bringing soothing music in a time of crisis, friendship in a time of loneliness, and resources in a time of turmoil.

Community events, volunteers, and donors fuel the programs and services of CCA throughout the year, including CCA’s in-hospital Music Rx Program, the Pediatric Chemo Pal Mentor Program, the wish-granting and family services DreamCatcher Program, and family visits to CCA’s Oregon Coast respite home, the Caring Cabin.  All CCA programs and services are offered completely free of charge.
