Stone Harbour Press

Selling pirate books for children, teens, and adults, both fiction and non-fiction.  Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to a seafaring family, Pamela Johnson grew up surrounded by legends of Jean Lafitte and the pirates of Barataria Bay.  In 2000 she purchased a beach house in Jamaica and began to hear stories of Anne Bonny, Mary Read, and Jack Rackham. So impressed was she with the idea of women who would stand to defend their ship against capture she researched and wrote the story of Anne, describing her journey from privilege to piracy. Heart of a Pirate recently received an award for outstanding fiction published in 2009. The author will be signing books throughout the festival.  www.stonharbourpress.com
